Although I love the entire Spring Chevron colorwork knitting collection, the knit headband is my favorite. I love how the headband shows off the chevron pattern. The bright colors add such a fun pop to any outfit. This headband pattern is also very customizable. You can knit in more muted colors to fit your style. You can also make this a year-round pattern by choosing more neutral colors. I love the idea of turning this into a fall or Christmas knit project by using corresponding colors. Red, white, and green would look stunning for Christmas! This headband pattern is a wonderful base to let your creativity shine!

Managing floats to keep tension even
Tips
🌼 Use either of the attached charts to complete this project.
🌼 Keep the tension consistent and not too tight.
🌼 Manage floats to help keep the tension loose.
🌼 Only carry two colors along the back of the work at a time to save yarn and avoid tangles.
🌼 When sewing the ends together to create the twist, make sure the needle passes through all layers.
Instructions
1) Cast on 48 stitches using green yarn.
2) Join in the round
3) Round 1-90: Follow the Chevron Chart (keep scrolling to find the colorwork chart)
4) Bind off using green yarn
5) Leave a long tail for sewing
Time to make the twist!
6) With the right side facing out, fold the work in half lengthwise (see images below).
7) Fit the two folded ends together like a puzzle piece. (See images below).
8) Sew the two sides together, making sure to insert the needle through all layers and weave in ends (see image below).
9) Flip the sewn side around to reveal your twisted headband!
Spring Chevron Colorwork Charts
Use either of the charts below to complete the headband pattern.
I recommend using the repeat chart because it is easier to see, but you can also use the larger chart if it works better for you.
Repeat Chart:
🌼 Cast on 48 stitches using green yarn and join in the round.
🌼 Repeat columns 1-24 two times each round to equal the 48-stitch cast-on length.
🌼 Continue working in the round following the chart through row 15. Each row marks the beginning of a new round.
🌼 Repeat rows 1-15 five more times to equal 90 rows in total.
Complete Chart
🌼 Cast on 48 stitches using green yarn and join in the round.
🌼 Work in rounds following the chart. Each row marks the beginning of a new round.
