Snacktalular Amigurumi Collab
Free Crochet Patterns
I was fortunate enough to participate in a pattern collab on Ribblr! A group of designers got together to create food-themed patterns, which all turned out amazing. Each designer picked a food item that they wanted to create a design for. Once we finished our patterns, we tested each other's designs to ensure everything was ready. I loved working with such a great group of designers to get eight unique amigurumi patterns published. I want to show off all eight of the adorable amigurumi food patterns and provide links to where you can find them. The designers worked so hard on their patterns, and I want to show them off!
The Snacktacular Collab is a collection of crochet amigurumi patterns that are all themed around food. The crochet food patterns collaboration was a group effort by seven designers on Ribblr, including myself. Most patterns are free crochet patterns, but some will only be free for a limited time. Since this crochet food collab has several different designers, each designer will choose how long to keep their patterns free. Follow the links provided below to see which patterns are currently free. My patterns (the fries and spaghetti) will remain free forever.
The crochet plushies featured in this collection are absolutely adorable. This collection includes a wide range of foods, from meals to desserts to fruits. The collection includes a banana, cherries, grapes, strawberry, taco, french fries, cookie, and spaghetti. Keep scrolling to get a closer look at each pattern and see what my favorite things about each design are.
Banana By Suettle
The designer Suettle designed this banana for the food collab. Suettles's shop on Ribblr is called Suettle's Stitchery. The shop includes so many fantastic crochet amigurumi patterns. The shop currently features avocado patterns, a tiny carrot pattern, and even holiday patterns like candy corn. If you like this crochet banana, make sure to check out the rest of Suettle's designs over on Ribblr.
The crochet banana is designed to look like a real banana. The banana is life-sized, measuring 7 inches long. Plus, the peel is completely removable. The banana is worked in two separate pieces so it can be peeled just like a regular banana. I love this extra detail that adds such a fun spin on a crochet banana. Seattle states that this pattern can be worked in under an hour and is low sew. Only a few places need sewing, and it works up quickly, making it an excellent project for anyone looking for a pattern with easy assembly.
My favorite part is definitely the peelable nature of the banana peel. Looking at the images provided by the testers, I love how the banana can be displayed in several different ways just by adjusting the peel. I also love how the stitches on the peel face a different direction than the stitches on the banana, and they appear to be a different type of crochet stitch. This added detail adds texture to the banana and makes it look more visually interesting.

Cherries By BubblzCrochet
BubblzCrochet is the designer behind the cherries in this collab. Right now, BubblzCrochet's shop has over 3,000 followers on Ribblr! With as many fun amigurumi patterns in this shop, I have no doubt that it will continue growing. BubblzCrochet also participated in a sea creature pattern collab with me and made an adorable Axolotl. Many patterns in this shop feature chunky yarn, so this is a great place to look if you're interested in crochet amigurumi, which works up quickly and is extra squishy!
The crochet cherries are worked in chunky yarn and are not sewn. Because of this pattern's bulky yarn and no-sew nature, these crochet cherries will work up super fast. Some of the testers for this pattern worked the cherries in different weight yarn. All of the tester's photos look amazing, so this cherry pattern can easily be worked with any yarn you have on hand.
My favorite thing about this cherry is that it's no sew. No-sew patterns are great because, in my opinion, sewing things together is the worst part of crochet. I also love the yarn choice that BubblzCrochet used. It appears to be velvet yarn, which really makes the cherries stand out. The velvet red makes the cherries look shiny and realistic!

Grapes By MissDaisies
MissDaisies designed the Bunch O Grape Pals. MissDaisies' shop name is called Miss Daisies' Gallimaufry. This shop also includes a candy cauldron that I actually made last Halloween. It's a great decoration, and it doubles as a candy bowl. Make sure to check out MissDaisies' shop when you pick up the Bunch O Grape Pals pattern.
These amigurumi crochet grapes are adorable, and I love how each of their faces can be customized. The entire grape cluster is just so cute! This pattern would also be great for beginners. The shapes seem very straightforward, so it should be a great introductory pattern before you tackle something with more advanced shaping.
The customizable faces are definitely my favorite part of this grape pattern. I'm a sucker for cute little faces on amigurumi patterns, so the ability to add on so many different faces is right up my alley! You can sew all the faces the same or sew some with different expressions if you want. I also like the idea of adding in some red or purple grapes to add even more variety. The Bunch O Grape Pals is one of the most customizable patterns on this list!

Strawberry By EvalynneRose
EvalynneRose is the designer who created the strawberry pattern for this collab. Their shop, Magical Stitches, also features a golden snitch from Harry Potter and a mini piglet in chunky yarn. At this time, all of the patterns in EvalynneRose's shop are available for free! Check out their shop and pick up some other free crochet patterns when you pick up your mini strawberry pattern.
I had the pleasure of testing this strawberry pattern, and it's super easy to make, and it works up quickly. I made my strawberry in worsted-weight yarn, but I'm sure this would also look adorable in chunky yarn. Another person made a cute bag charm using this pattern. They made two strawberries and connected them together with a simple chain. It looks fantastic tied to the bag. I might have to try this in the future!
My favorite part about this strawberry is the sewn-on seeds. I think it adds an extra special finishing touch. The seeds bring the strawberry to life by adding a color contrast, making it very obvious that it's a strawberry and not a different fruit. I also love how easy it was to make. The strawberry is definitely a beginner-friendly pattern. If you're looking for a small project to get started, then this one is a good option.

Taco By SophiaCrochets24
SophiaCrochets24 designed the taco pattern. Their shop is called Sparkled Crochet. The taco for this collab is the only pattern in this shop right now, but it's such a good pattern! I can't wait to see what other patterns SophiaCrochets24 puts out in the future. The shop description also stated that all of the patterns will be free. This is a Ribblr shop to keep your eyes on as it grows!
I was a tester for the taco pattern, and I love how mine turned out. The taco was a super fun pattern to work on, and the finished taco ended up looking great. The pattern calls for two types of yarn: chunky and worsted. I love how the taco incorporates a fuzzy yarn for the shell and a worsted-weight yarn for the fillings. The little face on the front of the taco nestled in the fuzzy yarn adds such an adorable finishing touch to this pattern.
My favorite part about this pattern has to be the use of two different types of yarn. I've never experimented with using two types of yarn in an amigurumi pattern. At first, I was a little confused about how it would work, but it ended up looking amazing! The fluffy shells add a lot of character and texture to the taco, and I'm so glad the designer made this unique design call!

Fries By CrafteeManatee
I designed the french fry pattern for the food collab. The French fries are the first out of two patterns that I created for this collab. I couldn't decide on just one food, so I chose two! My shop name is CrafteeManatee, and my username is the same. I have a ton of different crochet and knit patterns available in my shop. I focus primarily on knit colorwork and crochet amigurumi. I currently have 28 patterns available for free, and I plan to continue adding more.
This French fry pattern was designed to be interactive. Each of the fries is removable from the container. I also embroidered little faces onto each of the fries with different expressions to add more character. This is completely optional, and the fries look just as cute without the faces. The pattern is worked in 5 pieces: 4 fries and one container to hold them all.
My favorite part about this pattern is that the fries are removable. When I envisioned making French fries, I knew I wanted all the individual fries to be removable. I think it adds a unique twist to amigurumi when the finished product is interactive. I had a lot of fun designing these fries for the collab, and I hope you enjoy the pattern too.

Cookie By Littlemisswonderful
Littlemisswonderful designed the cookie pattern for this collection. Their shop name is Sweet Stitches, and several other mini amigurumi patterns are available. There is a baby bee, panda, egg, and many more. The shop even includes a crochet drawstring bag! Littlemisswonderful also participated in the sea animal collab with me and made a super cute baby octo pattern! All of the patterns are currently free in Littlemisswonderful's shop, so make sure to pick out a few more patterns when you pick up the cookie pattern.
I also tested this cookie pattern before it was released. I used a colorful, chunky yarn with yellow and brown speckles. The cookie works up fast, and you could easily have a whole set of cookies done in just a few hours. You can play around with different yarn colors to make a variety of cookie sets! This pattern is perfect for beginners. It is a simple circle worked with chunky yarn, so it works up quickly. The pattern is also well-written and makes sense, which makes it beginner-friendly.
My favorite part about this pattern is how quickly it works up. The cookie is a great crochet project to keep your hands busy while doing something else like watching TV. It makes for a great "mindless" project. I also love how it can easily be customized just by changing the yarn. It would be so fun to see someone make a dozen coolies that all look unique!

Spaghetti By CrafteeManatee
The second pattern I designed for this collaboration is spaghetti and meatballs. You can find many other patterns on my Ribblr shop, CrafteeManatee, including 28 free patterns, with more constantly added. Make sure to browse through my shop when you pick up the spaghetti pattern because I'm sure I have a pattern for everyone!
The spaghetti and meatball pattern is made up of noodles, sauce, and meatballs on a crocheted plate. Nothing is sewn together, so it can all be easily adjusted and change shape. Like the French fries, the spaghetti and meatball pattern is very interactive. You can re-swirl the pasta and the sauce and rearrange the meatballs at any time. If you want the finished pattern to be more stable, you can easily sew everything down to keep it from flying away.
My favorite part about this pattern is how interactive it is. As I mentioned, the pasta can be re-swirled anytime if you don't sew it down. The spaghetti and meatballs would make a great fidget toy for your desk. Rewrapping the spaghetti is oddly satisfying and can keep your hands busy while you work.
